These are excellent short for out on the trail or golf course, and surely many other outdoor activities. They really feel great, both on the hips and throughout.The top pockets are nice and of a good depth. The lower pockets, for me, left something to be desire. I really would have preferred they had gone all in on the phone pocket design, whereas these are more of a cargo style, lateral design. This is of far less function to me than the former. They also sit quite low in the pant, which will lead to "swinging" if there is anything of weight and substance within.The look and material is excellent, and I consider most will be quite pleased. Again, for me, I was a bit off-put by the "flare" I found in mine. They flared almost the way pleated pants or shorts would, yet with a straight cut and design, I did not expect this. It's fairly minor, but does give that "skirting" feel, hearkening back to the 90's in my reference.All told, these are still quite nice, thus the 4 star rating. Just missed a little bit for me, here and there.
